On June 17, the 4th Silk Road (Zhangye) International Business School Challenge Competition successfully closed in Zhangye, Gansu province. The MBA team of our university once again won the first place in the school group and the second place in the overall competition.
This event pioneered with the slogan of "body cross-country + mind cross-country". The competition attracted nearly 500 participants from over 60 universities and enterprises at home and abroad, including Central South University, Peking University, Jiangnan University, Capital University of Economics and Trade, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Southwest University of Finance and Economics and Southeast University. Led by Ms.Yang Qiujuan, director of MBA center, our school organized 28 MBA students of class 2016 to 2018 to form team A, B and C.

On the first day of the competition, as the former champion, team A of our school, wearing the yellow armband, set off at the first place. The rugged course of 30 kilometers, with all team members working together and giving full play to the spirit of tenacious fighting, fought through all the difficulties and obstacles, overcame all kinds of physical discomfort, encouraged and supported each other. On the second day, the whole course distance was 26.8 km. The starting point was 2294 meters above sea level. Our school ranks first of the school group in the two days competition.
The members of team B and team C performed equally well. The team's unity and strong spirit made the whole team full of upward vitality. In particular, the four children completed the 58-kilometer journey independently, which won lots of praise.
With the support of Business School and MBA teachers, the team of Central South University has gained a remarkable achievement under the careful organization of MBA association. Team A ranked first in the school group and second in the overall competition, with the winning of Zhang Qian Award. Director Yang Qiujuan won the Sinan Award, captain Xia Yonggang won the General Riding Award, and Central South University won the Shawan Award and Honorary Institution Award.
The solidarity and mutual help shown by MBA students and the spirit of courageously forging ahead in the 4th Silk Road Challenge Competition are the inheritance of the motto of Central South University and will continue to encourage our MBA students to march forward and embark on a new journey in the new era.
